Well at long last I am updating not only my blog but my website, what a year 2012 was wet and more wet mud and more mud lets hope this year will be better but if today is anything to go by we better not hold are breath.
2012 saw the sad loss of one of our flock characters she had lost all her teeth and started going down hill so the decision was made to put her to sleep, she has left us with her daughter Gem who is the spitting image and the same independent character as her mum,she really shouldn't be here as her mum shouldn't have gone to the ram but these things happen.

Five of my ewes three of which are in lamb and four lambs have gone to a brilliant new home and I wish their new owner all the best with them.
2012 also saw the arrival of two gulmoget rams one black and one moorit the only downside was we had to let Anton go to a new home as we couldn't keep three rams.
Anton has left us with some lovely youngsters with some of the best fleeces we have ever had, we would have liked to have kept him another season but we had the chance of the two gulmogets.
We still have a few ewe lambs of Anton's for sale ,
The ewes were scanned last Friday and we are expecting thirty five lambs so fingers crossed they will be healthy ,lambing starts at the end of March before long we will be into show time lets hope the weather will be kinder to us all this year.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Happy new year.
